What outdoor lighting do I need for my home? It really depends on what you're trying to achieve. Wall lights either side of a front door create a welcoming entrance, while lights positioned along a pathway improve both safety and kerb appeal. What IP rating do I need for outdoor lighting? For outdoor use in the UK, you should be looking for a minimum IP44 rating. This means the fitting is protected against water splashes from any direction. All of our outdoor lights meet this standard as a minimum, so you can shop with confidence knowing every fitting in this collection is built for the outdoors.

Can outdoor lighting be left on all night? Yes, most outdoor light fittings are designed to be used continuously. If you're concerned about energy consumption, pairing your outdoor lights with a timer or a dusk to dawn sensor is a great way to make sure they're only on when you actually need them.
