The PET Lamp Pikul Wall Light combines traditional Thai bamboo weaving with a functional wall-mounted design. The Pikul Wall Light features an artisan shade crafted from bamboo, this means a lot of hard physical work for the artisans, and is a living expression of their skills and precision. To build the structure, the bamboo is dyed and cut into fine strips, which are then carefully woven by three different artisans along with the plastic strips.
Three artisans work on each piece to ensure precision, decorating it with intricate floral and hexagonal motifs. The shade is mounted on a powder-coated steel arm with a jointed mechanism, allowing for easy adjustment and directional control. Each light is a one-off, shaped by the hands and heritage of its makers.
